"Design-led conversations on subjects that will positively shape the way we live, love and work"
Since its inception in 2015, Future Forum has provided a platform for the exploration of design and architecture between designers, allied professionals, all tiers of government and members of the public.
Its long-term goal is to build a forum through events and podcasts that becomes an influencer to positively contribute to South Australia’s strategic direction. Future Forum will encourage a dialogue around the importance of good design and good design process combined with collaborative partnerships and policy that can empower its citizens to take action in our state.
Now under the custodianship of Architecture and Design practice Das Studio, in 2021 Future Forum will expand its remit and explore a range of subjects across four live events and a new series of podcasts sharing stories of those who a carving a path forward in South Australia and around the world.
Future Forum is presented in partnership with Sensum SA in 2021.

"How can Adelaide become a testing bed for the new ways we will live, participate and contribute to our cities in the future? - a ProtoCity"
A ProtoCity is one which encourages and supports the development and testing of new approaches and technologies through creative governance, smart business and an engaged citizen base.
Such a city would create an environment that invites the world to come and play in a city-scale 'sandbox' which supports innovation, efficiencies and improvements for how all cities function, support commerce and be well.
The second Future Forum event for 2021, ProtoCity will be cross-disciplinary discussion that explores what will be required to holistically improve how our city functions and serves its citizens.
Leading the discussion will be Ross Harding from Finding Infinity, who will share with us the work they are currently delivering in terms of self-sufficient architecture and cities.
"Cities are transforming from consumers to producers - it's inevitable. Imagine leaving the next generation with a city based on resources that will never run out. An infinite city."
Ross will inspire us to consider how Adelaide could position itself as a world leader in such a transition.
Following Ross' keynote, an interactive panel discussion including some of South Australia's leading thinkers will take place to discuss how Adelaide can continue to build its reputation as a magnet for innovation.
Joining Ross on the panel will be Katherine Bennell, Director of Space Capability and Robotic Automation at the Australian Space Agency, Julianne Parkinson, CEO of the Global Centre for Modern Aging, Daniel Moore, Director and Building Services Manager of WSP SA and Louka Parry, CEO of the Learning Future.
The audience will have the opportunity to interact with the panel and contribute to live discussions through a platform that you can connect to using your mobile device. As always, we will close with a live Q & A held at the end of the panel discussion.
Networking will follow at Electra House where you can connect with other like-minded South Australian's to help your big ideas to grow.
These events always sell out, so don't miss out.
