"Design-led conversations on subjects that will positively shape the way we live, love and work"

Future Forum is an initiative of Architect Dino Vrynios founded in partnership with the South Australian chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Since its inception in 2015, Future Forum has provided a platform for the exploration of design and architecture between designers, allied professionals, all tiers of government and members of the public.

Its long-term goal is to build a forum through events and podcasts that becomes an influencer to positively contribute to South Australia’s strategic direction. Future Forum will encourage a dialogue around the importance of good design and good design process combined with collaborative partnerships and policy that can empower its citizens to take action in our state.

Now under the custodianship of Architecture and Design practice Das Studio, in 2022 Future Forum will expand its remit and explore a range of subjects across three live events and a new series of podcasts sharing stories of those who a carving a path forward in South Australia and around the world.

Future Forum is presented in partnership with Sensum SA in 2021/2022.

In an economy littered with waste, how do we reset our approach to production, consumption and the way that we live and work?

The second and third industrial revolutions provided unparalleled prosperity for the human race - but at what cost?
In the first decades of the 21st Century, the rapidly emerging fourth industrial revolution is forcing us to reconsider our approach to life - one that is connected unlike ever before.
The share economy is the first instalment of what lies in store as Capitalism is joined by a new emerging economic system - the Collaborative Commons.
This model is being fuelled by the evolution of the Internet and a generation that seeks a shift towards triple bottom line values of People, Planet and Profit and a democratised global economy.
We stand at the precipice of a golden age, but only if we start to think and act as a global society, the guardians of our entire planet.

The third Future Forum event for 2021 - Reset - will be a cross-disciplinary discussion focusing on the fourth industrial revolution and the circular economic principles that will drive it.
We will explore waste - time, money, resources, skills - and delve into how we reset our way of thinking to focus on the benefits of life cycle assessment and circular economy.
How do we re-use, repair, recycle, refurbish, redistribute...?

Leading the discussion will be Jodie Bricout - Manager at Lifecycles with a keynote presentation. Jodie is one of Australia’s leading circular economy experts, with two decades’ experience working alongside research, government and industry in Australia, Dubai and Europe.

Following Jodie's keynote, an interactive panel discussion including some of South Australia's leading thinkers.
Panel guests to be announced.

The audience will have the opportunity to interact with the panel and contribute to live discussions through a platform that you can connect to using your mobile device. As always, we will close with a live Q & A held at the end of the panel discussion.

Networking will follow at Electra House where you can connect with other like-minded South Australian's to help your big ideas to grow.
